Securing a market leader stance in the Northeast Asian market based on large-scale of production capacity and higher cost competitiveness
Aromatics business produces a variety of compounds that serve as raw materials for commodities, construction, appliance, and textiles. It holds leading production capacity (3 million tons per year) through continuous investment.
We will strengthen our market leadership by expanding the scale of economics in trading business and leap forward to the global top player by seeking for new business opportunities.
|Benzene||It is co-produced with distillates such as ethylene in naphtha cracking facility or extracted from reformed naphtha with toluene and xylene. It is inflammable and toxic and contains characteristic odor. Handle with care.||Raw material for styrene monomer, caprolactam, medical and agrochemical products|
|Toluene||It is colorless and inflammable liquid with characteristic odor. Avoid inhaling vapor since it is toxic. It is produced by naphtha cracking or from reformed naphtha.||Raw material for paints, adhesives, TDI, TND, etc.|
|Mixed Xylene||Xylene is toxic and has low flash point. It is produced by naphtha cracking or from reformed naphtha with benzene, toluene, etc. Dealkylation of toluene also leads its production.||Mainly purified to para-xylene, ortho-xylene and meta-xylene|
|Para Xylene||PX is produced by adsorption separation of OX, distillate of mixed xylene. Its property is similar to that of xylene.||Mainly used for production of PTA, the raw material of polyester|
|Styrene Monomer||It is produced by oxidation or dehydrogenation of ethylbenzene, the product from ethylene and benzene. It is a colorless aromatic liquid. Care is needed since it easily polymerizes on exposure to light.||Raw material of polystyrene, ABS, SBR, etc.|
